As the largest Australian peak body in Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, the ASCH exists to promote the therapeutic treatment of a range of disorders and dysfunctions which affect the health of humans.
The ASCH promotes the ethical and professional delivery of the modality through its various grades of membership.
The Society’s official publication, “The Australian Journal of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis” is taken by many universities, Medical Schools and similar professional bodies around the World, and is regarded as a leader in its field.
Brian Magrath has been a Director and Registered Professional member of this organisation for many years.

Brian will be tracing the origins and progress of hypnosis and hypnotherapy, and will introduce and describe the related concepts in the modalities.
These subjects are often mis-represented and misunderstood. Brian intends to clarify some of these aspects of what is recognized as a very useful tool for wellness.
Among other things, Brian will be delivering discussion on the wider uses of hypnosis in phobia and substance abuse therapies, as well as a discourse on “past lives” therapies and associated treatments.
