Presenters Bio The CAA (NSW) is the peak body representing Chiropractors. The Association exists to develop, promote and advance chiropractic practices, and to set and maintain the highest standards in the delivery of chiropractic care.
Bernard Blanchfield has been a member of the Association since graduating in 1990. He has been involved with the Healthy Spines Program for the past 3 years.
Anthony Richards has been a member of the Association since 1990 after graduating in 1984. He currently holds the position of Public Education Chairperson. Anthony has conducted a number of radio and television interviews speaking on both chiropractic care and the Straighten Up Australia Campaign.
Session Outline The Healthy Spines Program is one of only two spinal health promotion programs in Australia. Healthy Spines targets primary school aged children. It has two goals: To support primary school-aged children and their school communities to:
- Improve their knowledge about spinal health and spinal care.
- Strengthen their ability to promote spinal health and spinal care in the school environment.
The Straighten up Australia Campaign is a 3 minute spinal health program designed to help adults and children feel and look their best. Anyone can easily learn these daily exercises for promoting their spinal health, improving their posture and preventing spinal problems.
