- Presenters Bio The TMHC Clinical Consultation & Assessment Service provides assessment, consultation, and counselling for people of NESB background who experience mental health problems. The service has a major new initiative which addresses the needs of children, adolescents and their families. Workers are professionals with bilingual/bicultural backgrounds or special expertise in the field. The service is part of the Department of Health and is free. Nicolle Fabrier is an intercultural psychologist with thirty years experience in the field.
- Session Outline To assist participants, both personally in their professional role to understand the varying interpretations, experiences and responses to mental health in various communities. Some suggestions about providing/seeking direct support and when/how to refer.
